In the Light of The Rainbow Tree

Susie Alexander recounts her absorbing life story - at seven years of age she suffers a traumatic experience after which she discovers her outstanding talent for dancing. This leads to a triumphant career with The Royal Ballet and a rewarding time teaching dance on her retirement from the stage.

Aged fifty and life has not finished yet with Susie. Her health breaks down and she is compelled to find an inner strength to carry on. It is during a journey to India that she conceives the idea of The Rainbow Tree, a vast series of patchworks stitched by thousands of children around the world. Susie designs and oversees the making of The Rainbow Tree of Friendship, travelling extensively and having many adventures.

The Rainbow Tree is finished and it has brought the youth of many nations closer to a greater understanding of each other. For Susie, her labour of love has brought her back to her roots in Scotland and to her true self - her final destination.
