* The New House

On the north coast of Scotland, a small boy is playing on the beach when he stumbles across the body of a skin diver. It is male, very dead and appears to have drowned. On examination it turns out the victim is a young accountant who recently moved into "The New House" - and that he has been shot. So starts a gripping tale of murder, international intrigue and drug dealing which keeps the reader on edge till the last page.

It is also the start of an intriguing case for Sergeant Willie McKay, a policeman of the "old school" and DI Harry "Flash" Gordon whose modern investigative methods are imported from Inverness and do not always find favour with Willie.
